Assets Required

Asset required
Why do I need this asset (refer to requirements of the brief)
How will I create or source this asset?
What elements do I need to consider when producing or selecting this asset? (Production Skills – graphics, lighting, photography, editing etc)
When do I need this asset?

Sounds Effect

I have chosen to use sound effects as an asset for my video response to the brief because I want because in it states in the brief that I must use sound effects in my video in order to meet the requirements.

I will source all my sound effects from mainly YouTube under the royalty free or creative commons licence however I will also use alternative websites such as Freesound.org or Soundbible.com because I will not have enough time to create all my sound effects.
The most important factor that I will need to consider when I am selecting my sound effect asset is legal attribution, this includes copyright infringement and a license. These attributions will require me to pay large sums of money which isn’t possible for this current project. As an alternative I will look for Creative Common’s or Royalty free attributions because they are free to use and may only ask for credit for the use of their product.

Background music

I will need background music for my video response to the brief because it states in the brief that I will need background music as a requirement.
I will be sourcing my background from YouTube because they have a large variety of royalty free music that could potentially be useful for my video.
The most important factor when considering my selection for background music is once again is attribution rights, meaning I will have to make any copyright clearances if needed. I will also need to consider if the background music fits the scene that I have shot and if creates the right tension and mood.

Statistics on identity theft

I will need statistics on identity theft to help and anchor my video response to the brief because I want
I will be sourcing the existing statistical information about identity theft because this is coming from professionals who will be able to give me more detail on the subject to present to my target audience.
With sourcing information online a consideration I will have to take into account if the content is valid and also if the article is reliable.
11/01/2018

Actors

I will need actors as one of my assets for my video to response to the brief because I will need a young girl aged between 15-17 years old.
I will source my actors by asking them if they are happy with being in my video.
I will need to consider the genders of my actors as they will need to play specific role for them to correctly recreate my narrative. I will also need to consider their consent with their face being shown in video so that their own identities aren’t be misrepresented in any way.
12/01/18

Equipment & Video scenes
(Camera)

I will need a camera as an asset for my video in order for me to correctly response to the brief because I will need to be able to shoot the scene of my narrative using the 180 degree rule, reverse shot, tracking and panning.
I will be sourcing my equipment from my institution. My video scenes I will be creating myself by using a range of different camera techniques such as the 180 degree rule and tracking so I can fulfil the requirements for the brief.
When filming I will need to consider the lighting of all my shots, so that all of the clips have a similar lighting and are easy to colour correct.
